We are lucky enough in Mildura to be part of "Australia's 3rd Real Network"

Neighborhood Cable (NCable, now part of TransACT) actually have their own Cable Network laid (hung really - not really hung) around town. Plus we have enjoyed Broadband Wireless for the last few years too.

I'm on the wireless network - tiny little dish on the roof, all installed free thanks to the house being a non-ADSL part of town, even though we are in a built up area.

Since 2005 I have enjoyed speeds of 30Mbps down, 2Mbps up. They are in the final stages of DOCIS 3 approval for the equipment which will really kick it in. At the moment to download a 350Mb TV show takes about 5-7 minutes. Needless to say high speed streaming of video is not an issue.

I'm always surprised the NCable Network isn't used more as what can really be done in a regional area. They also cover Ballarat and Geelong. They are a great example of what can be done when you decide what to do something.

It also makes it darn hard to consider moving

Odd. Maybe the links broke when you moved servers or something MJCP.
