Episode 1 -- Acqualia
MJCP and Alex Kidman chat with Zac Cohan and Nik Youdale from Acqualia, developer of Picturesque and Soulver. While still at University they've created an award-winning graphics app (and updated it), and they're now embarking on iPhone development. They discuss iPhone 3.0, the upcoming Worldwide Developer Conference, next year's Macworld Expo without Apple, the controversy over MacHeist (in which they participated) and the early working relationship of Steves Jobs and Wozniak.
Get it now.

When you've got nothing else better to do, Matthew, you might consider making the Get it now link into the MTP logo as the link "button."
BTW - the Get it Now link takes you to the "info" page on "Episode 1 — Acqualia 3/4/09" BUT there isn't a link there to the Podcast (yet?) I presume the "void" link on the MTP home page is the main link (when you have the hosting service sorted out) and the "Episode 1 — Acqualia 3/4/09" title will also become a link.

Re: Episode 1 -- Acqualia
Not a bad idea.
Meanwhile even though the show hasn't appeared on iTunes yet I've added a "Listen" link to the story on MacThePodcast.com which links to the RSS feed at our podcast hosting service. Have a go at that and tell me if it works.
When it shows up on iTunes we'll have more obvious links.

Yep, I've added the RSS link and I'm currently downloading it from there. The "Copy URL" also works and I started the down load from there - won't continue the second download, though, it appears to work fine. My bandwidth makes for slow downloads so I'll stick with the RSS one for the minute, errr....quite a few minutes!

Episode 1 -- Acqualia - sound quality
Very pleased to hear the podcast quality. Only issue, and v.v. small, is the slight Skype echo. Much improved sound quality over the "other site." You've obviously had a chance to work on the tech side of things before recording this time Matthew.

Didn't want to issue the release until I had confirmation that people were able to listen to the podcast, so that will happen shortly.

The birds were in the background of Nik Youdale's audio, and nothing really I could do about them. I tried cutting them when he wasn't actually talking, but then it was weird because they'd start chirping every time he spoke.

The echo is actually a GarageBand artefact and something I've figured out how to fix for next time.
And yes, there's been some better hardware and software purchased (yes, actually purchased! With money!) for this podcast, so sound quality should be notably improved, even for guests on cheaper equipment. Thanks for noticing.

I was only joking about the rosellas - I love their accompaniment to our Aussie life. They didn't detract at all.

OK - I thought it was Skype because I have a friend who regularly calls on his Skype phone from "down the sewer." His echo is something awful!

Well your purchase (with real money??) was worth it - the results are the proof.
